Water Sort Legal

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 29, 2026

This policy explains what data Sortify: Water Sort — developed by Garage.ist ("we," "our," or "us") — collects and processes, and what it does not. Water Sort has no account system of its own: your progress and settings live on your device. The outside services it talks to are Apple Game Center, Google Firebase, Google AdMob, AppsFlyer and the App Store. See "What Data Do We Collect?" below for the specifics.

Data Minimization & Trust

Water Sort does not require sign-up and has no account system of its own — your levels, stars, coins, boosters, lives and settings are never sent to servers we run. The outside services it talks to are Apple Game Center (optional), Google Firebase (anonymous gameplay analytics and remote settings), Google AdMob (the ads that keep the game free), AppsFlyer (measuring which ad campaign brought an install) and the App Store (purchases).

No Water Sort account Play instantly — the game never asks you to sign up, log in, or create a profile.
Data is not sold We never sell your data or share it with third parties for their own marketing.

What Data Do We Collect?

Gameplay progress: your levels, stars, coins, boosters, lives, profile name and avatar, and sound, music, haptics and notification settings are stored on your device (via Apple's standard on-device storage). We never see or receive this data.

Game Center (optional): if you are signed in to Game Center, your highest level and total stars are posted to its leaderboards under your Game Center name, and a copy of your progress is kept in Game Center's saved games in your iCloud account so it follows you to your other devices. This runs entirely on Apple's systems under Apple's Privacy Policy.

Anonymous gameplay analytics: Water Sort uses Firebase Analytics to log gameplay events — for example that a level was cleared or lost, that an ad was shown or a reward was claimed, or that a purchase was made. These events are tied to a random app-instance identifier, not to your name, email or any account, and are used only to understand how the game is played and to tune it, for example how often ads appear. Firebase Remote Config delivers those settings to the app.

Advertising data: Water Sort shows ads through Google AdMob. AdMob and its partners may process device and advertising identifiers, approximate location derived from your IP address, and ad interaction data to serve and measure ads — see "Advertising & Tracking" below.

Install measurement: Water Sort uses AppsFlyer to learn which ad campaign, if any, led to your install, together with a few game events — a level cleared, a purchase made — and the revenue from the ads shown. This uses a device identifier, and your advertising identifier only if you allow tracking. It is not linked to your name, email or any account — see "Advertising & Tracking" below.

Purchases: in-app purchases are handled by the App Store. We learn which item was bought so we can deliver it; we never see your payment details.

Advertising & Tracking

Water Sort uses Google AdMob, which may work with mediation partners such as Unity Ads, to show two kinds of ads: optional rewarded ads you choose to watch (for a free life once a day, or to keep playing a lost level), and occasional full-screen ads between levels. New players see no ads between levels for their first levels, and anyone who has made a purchase — including Remove Ads — never sees them.

When the game first starts, iOS asks whether Water Sort may track you across other companies' apps and websites. If you allow it, your device's advertising identifier is used to show you more relevant ads and to measure which ad campaign brought your install; if you do not, it is used for neither. You can change this at any time in the iPhone Settings app under Privacy & Security › Tracking.

In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland you are first asked for consent through Google's consent form. You can change your choice at any time in the game under Settings › Privacy Options; it applies to AppsFlyer too. Analytics storage stays off until the consent form has been answered.

See Google's Privacy Policy, Unity's Privacy Policy and AppsFlyer's Privacy Policy for how these partners process advertising and install data.

Children's Privacy

Water Sort is a general-audience game, not an app directed at children, and it has no account system of any kind — we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Parents should note that the game displays third-party ads (see above).

Third-Party Services

Water Sort relies on the following outside services:

  • Apple Game Center and iCloud: optional leaderboards and saved games, under Apple's own systems and privacy policy.
  • Apple App Store: in-app purchases.
  • Google Firebase (Analytics, Remote Config): anonymous gameplay analytics and remotely tuned game settings.
  • Google AdMob and its mediation partners (such as Unity Ads): the rewarded and between-level ads described above.
  • AppsFlyer: install measurement — which ad campaign, if any, brought an install — as described above.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, the game schedules reminders on your device only — for example, when your lives are full again. You can turn them off in the game's Settings or in the iPhone Settings app at any time.

Data Retention and Your Rights

Because Water Sort has no accounts and no server-side user database, we hold no personal data of yours to retain or delete. In the game, Settings › Delete My Data erases your progress from your device and from Game Center's saved games; deleting the app removes the on-device copy. Scores already posted to leaderboards are managed by Apple. Firebase Analytics data is not linked to your identity and is kept under Google's standard Firebase retention settings, and AppsFlyer data under AppsFlyer's own retention policy. To reset your advertising identifier, use your device's settings.

Policy Updates

If this policy changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of Water Sort after a change means you accept the updated policy.
