Data Minimization & Trust
RuleSort does not require sign-up and has no account system of its own — it does not send your gameplay data to our servers. The outside services RuleSort talks to are Google AdMob (to show the ads that keep the game free) and, only if you open the leaderboard, Apple Game Center.
What Data Do We Collect?
Gameplay progress: your best scores, streaks, and sound settings are stored only on your device (via Apple's standard on-device storage). We never see or receive this data — it stays on your phone or tablet.
Leaderboard (optional): if you view or submit to the online leaderboard, it runs entirely on Apple Game Center, which is tied to your Apple ID — this is Apple's own account system, not one RuleSort creates or manages. We do not operate this feature ourselves and never see your Game Center identity — it is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Advertising data: RuleSort shows ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may process device and advertising identifiers to serve and measure ads — see "Advertising & Tracking" below for how this is controlled.
Advertising & Tracking
RuleSort uses Google AdMob to show rewarded ads (for example, to continue a run after losing). On iOS, the first time an ad could use your device's advertising identifier for personalization, Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt asks for your permission. If you decline or haven't been asked yet, you still see ads — they are just not personalized to you. You can review or change this anytime in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. See Google's Privacy Policy for how AdMob processes advertising data.
Children's Privacy
RuleSort is a general-audience game, not an app specifically directed at children, and it has no account system of any kind — so we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Parents should note that RuleSort displays third-party ads (see above) and may want to review the App Tracking Transparency setting on a child's device.
Third-Party Services
RuleSort relies on the following outside services:
- Google AdMob: serves the in-app rewarded ads described above.
- Google Firebase: the app initializes Firebase's core SDK, reserved for future app-stability features (such as crash reporting). As of this policy's publish date it is not yet actively collecting or transmitting data.
- Apple Game Center: powers the optional online leaderboard, entirely under Apple's own systems and privacy policy.
Data Retention and Your Rights
Because RuleSort has no accounts and no server-side user database, we hold no personal data of yours to retain or delete. On-device data (scores, settings) is removed the moment you delete the app. For Game Center data, contact Apple directly. For advertising identifiers, use iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking to reset or limit ad tracking at any time.
Policy Updates
If this policy changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of RuleSort after a change means you accept the updated policy.
