Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 1, 2026

This policy explains what data Block Nest — developed by Garage.ist ("we," "our," or "us") — collects and processes, and what it does not. Block Nest has no account system of its own: your board, scores, and settings live on your device. The outside services it talks to are Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Performance), Google AdMob, AppsFlyer, GameAnalytics, the App Store (for Remove Ads) and — only if you use the leaderboard, achievements, or Challenge a Friend — Apple Game Center. See "What Data Do We Collect?" below for the specifics.

Data Minimization & Trust

Block Nest does not require sign-up and has no account system of its own — your in-progress board, best score, and settings are never sent to our servers. The outside services Block Nest talks to are Firebase (for app stability and anonymous gameplay analytics), Google AdMob (to show the ads that keep the game free), AppsFlyer (to measure which ad campaign brought an install), GameAnalytics (to see how long players keep playing), the App Store (for Remove Ads) and, only if you open the leaderboard, achievements, or Challenge a Friend, Apple Game Center.

No Block Nest account Play instantly — Block Nest itself never asks you to sign up, log in, or create a profile.
Data is not sold We never sell or share any data with third parties for marketing purposes.

What Data Do We Collect?

Gameplay progress: your current board, best score, lifetime stats (games played, lines cleared, combo streaks, and similar counters), and sound/haptics settings are stored only on your device (via Apple's standard on-device storage). We never see or receive this data — it stays on your phone or tablet.

Anonymous gameplay analytics: Block Nest uses Firebase Analytics to log gameplay events — for example that a new game started, a run ended (with the score reached), a line was cleared, or a Perfect Clear happened. These events are not tied to your name, email, or any account, and are used only to understand how the game is played in aggregate.

Crash and performance data: Block Nest uses Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Performance to detect crashes and slow-downs. This can include short technical log lines (for example, that a Game Center request failed) and device/app diagnostic information, but never your personal information.

Leaderboard, achievements & Challenge a Friend (optional): if you view the leaderboard, unlock achievements, or challenge a friend, that runs entirely on Apple Game Center, which is tied to your Apple ID — this is Apple's own account system, not one Block Nest creates or manages. We send your score and progress statistics to Game Center so it can track and display them, but we do not operate this feature ourselves and never see your Game Center identity — it is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Advertising data: Block Nest shows ads through Google AdMob. AdMob and its partners may process device and advertising identifiers, approximate location derived from your IP address, and ad interaction data to serve and measure ads — see "Advertising & Tracking" below.

Install measurement: Block Nest uses AppsFlyer to learn which ad campaign, if any, led to your install, together with a few game events — a game started or ended (with its score and length), a rewarded ad watched, a purchase made — and the revenue from the ads shown. This uses a device identifier, and your advertising identifier only if you allow tracking. It is not linked to your name, email or any account.

Gameplay analytics: Block Nest uses GameAnalytics to understand how the game is played — sessions and their length, games started and finished (with score and length), boosts used, rewarded ads watched, ads shown and purchases — along with device model, OS and app version, approximate country, crash and performance data. This uses a random ID that GameAnalytics creates for your install, a device identifier, and your advertising identifier only if you allow tracking. It is not linked to your name, email or any account.

Purchases: Remove Ads is bought through the App Store. We learn that it was bought so we can remove the ads; we never see your payment details.

Advertising & Tracking

Block Nest uses Google AdMob, which may work with mediation partners such as Unity Ads and InMobi, to show a banner ad, optional rewarded ads (for example, to continue a run, rotate a piece, or trigger a Karo Mode or Gravity Wheel boost), and a full-screen ad between games. The between-games ad appears at most once every three games, only after a game has ended — never during play — and the game-over screen says beforehand when one is coming. Buying Remove Ads removes the banner and the between-games ads; rewarded ads stay optional.

When the game first starts, iOS asks whether Block Nest may track you across other companies' apps and websites. If you allow it, your device's advertising identifier is used to show you more relevant ads and to measure which ad campaign brought your install; if you do not, it is used for neither. You can change this at any time in the iPhone Settings app under Privacy & Security › Tracking.

In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland you are first asked for consent through Google's consent form. You can change your choice at any time in the game under Settings › Privacy Options; it applies to AppsFlyer too.

See Google's Privacy Policy, Unity's Privacy Policy and AppsFlyer's Privacy Policy for how these partners process advertising and install data.

Children's Privacy

Block Nest is a general-audience game, not an app specifically directed at children, and it has no account system of any kind — so we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Parents should note that Block Nest displays third-party ads (see above).

Third-Party Services

Block Nest relies on the following outside services:

  • Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Performance): anonymous gameplay analytics, crash reporting, and performance monitoring, as described above.
  • Google AdMob and its mediation partners (such as Unity Ads and InMobi): the banner, rewarded and between-games ads described above.
  • AppsFlyer: install measurement — which ad campaign, if any, brought an install — as described above.
  • GameAnalytics: gameplay analytics and retention, as described above. See GameAnalytics' Privacy Policy.
  • Apple App Store: the Remove Ads purchase.
  • Apple Game Center: powers the optional leaderboard, achievements, and Challenge a Friend features, entirely under Apple's own systems and privacy policy.

Data Retention and Your Rights

Because Block Nest has no accounts and no server-side user database, we hold no personal data of yours to retain or delete. On-device data (board, scores, stats, settings) is removed the moment you delete the app. For Game Center data, contact Apple directly. Firebase Analytics/Crashlytics data is not linked to your identity and is retained per Google's standard Firebase data-retention settings, AppsFlyer data per AppsFlyer's own retention policy, and GameAnalytics data per GameAnalytics' own retention policy. To reset your advertising identifier, use your device's settings.

Policy Updates

If this policy changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of Block Nest after a change means you accept the updated policy.
